Basic Wind Speed Query Web Service - Overview
The Basic Wind Speed (BWS) Query Web Service returns the wind speed in miles per hour (mph) for a specific latitude and longitude.
BWS is develeoped by the American Society of Civil Engineers and published in the International Building Codes. The digital data set was created by FEMA and used in 2007 to develop a list of Basic Wind Speeds for each Zip+4 for the
Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code Council (LSUCCC).
